Pro-active and tenacious, we are a collective of boundary pushing creatives. Firetrap Creative was started by Rebecca Johnson, Lucie Barât and Chris Colston as a way to take their original content straight to distributors. Between them, they span a plethora of creative titles; Writer/ Director/ Artist/ Editor/ Graphic Design & Tech/ Performer/ Songwriter…
Their skills have been put to use creating exciting, often boundary pushing and award-winning TV, film and theatre. They like to cross-pollinate platforms wherever possible – always leading with creative possibility and collaborating with other talent as early on in development as possible.

A semi-autobiographical play about being a Rockstar (‘s sister)
A woman looks back on her youth as a struggling actress in early ‘00s London - a comic retelling of minimum wage jobs and auditions for laxative adverts. Unprepared for the sudden success of her younger brother (traditionally the weed-smoking black sheep of the family), she’s forced to face her own failures. Whilst dodging a lecherous producer, imminent eviction and her boss’s angry girlfriend, she juggles a snowballing pill-habit with self-created chaos.
After succumbing to a rehab admission, she’s finally able to drop her various masks and arrive at the realisation she’s gay.
Lucie’s brother’s band, THE LIBERTINES were at the vanguard of the 00s indie music scene.
